is benzonatate available in thailand?

if not is there any thing similar to it available in thailand or something for coughs.

i use it for coughing.

It is not available here and the various cough medications here do nto have the same mode of action.

 

Basically here, choices are:

 

1 - expectorants, they do not suppress cough just help liquify mucus. many brands.

 

2 - suppressants containing either codeine (have to get at a hospital) or trace amount of opium tincture, this oddly can be bought OTC at even a 7 eleven, "brown mixture", green bottle with orange tiger picture on it. The suppressants work but will cause some drowsiness so not suitable during the day. Also not advisable for long term daily use. But for short term use at night, fine.
