Good sleuthing... it's the very same car.

But retrofitted with a Nissan engine so that buggers the old 'Escort gas chamber' theory. But it looks like it was souped up with a Nitrous system so there's another avenue for endless, useless speculation opened up.

No indication of nitrous in the pics or description so a dead-end for endless, useless speculation, started by you!

Totally wrong, the Mk1 Escort Mexico was never imported to Thailand.

What you see are replicas. Standard Escorts made to look like RS2000s and Mexicos.

There are several in Thailand.

I have been in this car a few years ago, it was extremely well engineered.

Rest in peace Espen.

You didn't say the Ford Escort Mexico originally, you just said the  Mk1 Escort.

Will find CO poisoning....

Because what? You examined the deceased's pupils, and saw his fingernails or did a blood analysis? Highly unlikely it was carbon monoxide if there is no evidence of the exhaust being routed to the vehicle interior. Vehicles are not airtight.

So Sad!

Why? We don't know the cause of death or who the deceased was. maybe he was a wonderful person, or maybe he was a  mass murderer. I just do not understand how one can be "sad" over an event  that has yet to be fully determined or a person of whom there is no information.

Thai plates.

Yes, so what's your point?  You've found another picture of what is probably the same car but that picture was not the one in the OP!  My comment was about UK plates, wasn't it?

Mods - time to close this topic, still too many muppets who don't get it that this is not a car discussion but a sad story about a young man who lost his life way too early.

We have been enlightened as to the probable reason for this young mans passing by one of his good friends

If I recall without checking back I believe his parents plan a autopsy in Norway no doubt to put their own minds at rest

The car thing is just Thaivisa and took on a life of its own

I think the thread has run its course the same as one or two others

From a previous post from a good friend of his rgarnsworthy (Post #77) :-

"As for His untimely death, I have learnt facts not previously known and don’t really want to divulge unnecessary information. However I will say that it was brought on by a rare hereditary decease which he wasn’t managing properly. Which eventually developed into DVT. I’m sure that he didn’t suffer and it was over maybe before he even knew. Again RIP MY GOOD FRIEND, I HOPE THAT GARAGE IS STOCKED UP OF ALL YOUR FAVORITES, FOR YOUR PLEASURE!!"

Carbon monoxide is colourless and odourless; I think it is sometimes referred to as the 'silent killer'.  I'm not theorising anything just pointing out alternatives to the suicide or heart attack options.

yes plus the heat of the day can be added possibly causing additional drowsiness or inattention....
