Relatives and neighbors attempt lynching as rape/murderer taken on reenactment

 

 

Police in Ratchaburi had to hurriedly finish a reenactment after locals and relatives tried to lynch the man responsible for the rape and murder of a 55 year old Ratchaburi woman.

 

Wisut Foithapthim, a construction worker from Kanchanaburi, had been taken to the rented house in Ban Rai, Damnoen Saduak district that was the scene of the crime committed on Monday.

 

Daily News reported that people hurled insults at Wisut.

 

He was taken inside the house and the door was locked.

 

After just fifteen minutes Muang Ratchaburi cops ended the reenactment and raced off amid fears there would be a lynching.

 

Thanawan Ritdech, 55, was found in the house Monday with her hands tied up by a rope connected to her neck. She was naked and had been raped and murdered.

 

She was a worker in the production department at a fresh coconut milk firm.

 

Wisut has been charged with murder.

Didn't they want to stop this waste of time ? What use does it have , other than a photo opportunity for the cops involved

I thought Prayut the almighty God had told them to stop doing these useless reenactment's about three years ago.   Of course; the brave and intrepid Cops want to make sure Mum sees them on TV, as that's more important than actually fighting crime !

Is the point of these macabre re-enactments to determine public opinion so the courts can then determine the length of sentencing based on how many turn up starting with if no one comes its a wai and 500bt fine?

just inject the guilty man with the victims family present to witness it's been carried out !

The purpose is to back up confessions. 

 

The justice system is so weak here, that so many cases fall apart due to poor police procedures, evidence gathering, etc etc.. This is why they give 50% reductions in sentence for guilty pleas and force re-enactments to then be witnessed which are then hold as evidence of confession. 

all comes back to cops who cant do effective police work and courts which are inconsistent and weak, so these work arounds are employed.
