Vegetable Seeds

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

Just arrived in the North and I would like to find some suppliers or distributers in order to get some vegetable seeds.
Thanks to it, it could start to grow up my own crop in my different lands ?

Do you have some addresses ? Or some suggestions?

By the way, which kind of vegetables do you recommend to start with?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Have a wonderful day,

There are many shops who have different kinds of seeds, just look around for some shops where farmers buy their stuff.

Depends how much experience you have with gardening, beans, lettuce or are you looking for typical Thai veggies?

Potatoes also  grow in the north and strawberries.

Dear jvs thanks a lot for your reply.

I don't have some much experience, I want to try different species and principally the ones which are growing the best in the region.

I could try some potatoes but I'm more interested in the vegetables crops as lettuces, cabbages, beans..

They are availlable at most of the local markets. Also there's the Camptien market behind Tesco.

Is the Hang Dong Saturday Market in the same place as the Municipal Market?

Without a doubt, the best seed place in Chiang Mai.  They stock all the seeds I've ever seen in this country, plus arugula, Italian basil, etc.

I'm not sure, but they have walls and walls and drawers of seeds.  They sell mostly to commercial growers, but are happy to help English speaking amateures.  They sell a lot of seeds from Kantar Seed Company.  There is some interesting reading if you google them.

I'll check this one out.  Looked at it with Google Maps and Street-View and they have a ton of parking.  Don't know how you first found this place.  It's out in nowhereville.
