GENEVA (Reuters) - Myanmar's military carried out mass killings and gang rapes of Muslim Rohingya with "genocidal intent" and the commander-in-chief and five generals should be prosecuted for orchestrating the gravest crimes under law, U.N. investigators said on Monday.

Uttama, Sontirat deny they are quitting to jump into politics

Industry Minister Uttama Savanayana and Commerce Minister Sontirat Sontijirawong,  who have been linked to a new political party being formed to support Prime Minister Gen Prayuth Chan-o-cha’s return to power, today dismissed a press report that they were resigning from their cabinet posts to go into politics.

Rice water not firewater: vendor complains over ‘wrongful arrest’

A vendor selling a drink derived from khao mak, a slightly alcoholic traditional dessert, complained on Monday he was wrongfully arrested at a “One Tambon, One Product” (Otop) fair in Buri Ram province on August 11. He was held for allegedly selling sato, a distilled alcohol concoction made from rice.

Govt to allow households to pay utility bills via PromptPay
