Disney's streaming service might finally have a name

Ever since the meteoric rise of Netflix, every big company is trying to launch their own streaming service, so they can exclusively offer their content and not have to share the money.

 

The Walt Disney Company look like the biggest competitor, with many people believing that their acquisition of 20th Century Fox assets is all about bolstering their back catalogue with things like The Simpsons and Family Guy.

 

The service hasn't been given an official name so far, but a report by Variety states the Disney CEO Bob Iger is calling it... Disney Play.

 

He also said that launching the service in 2019 is the company's top priority.
