A family of Myanmar migrant workers today asked the Crime Suppression Division police to investigate the death of a Myanmar fisherman who was killed and his body, with the hands tied, dumped into the Tha Chine river in Samut Sakhon province six months ago.

Representing the Myanmar family, lawyer Ronnarong Kewpetch, who is chairman of a social justice campaign network, told police that there had been no progress about the murder case since the body of the victim, Min Oo, was found in the Tha Chine river in Tambon Suansom, Ban Paew district of Samut Sakhon on February 11.

He said the victim’s hands were bound above his head and there were holes on his forehead and behind the left ear – signs that he might have been shot.
