Where to buy free weights/bar in BKK?

Featured Replies

I'm returning to live in Thailand at the end of October.  I will be living in Plaeng Yao, a small town east of Chachoengsao.  It's likely that this town has no gym.

I'll need to work out at home.  Here in Myanmar I usually cycle every day, jog on a treadmill in the gym and do some free weights and machine work as well.

In Thailand, cycling is too risky (unless I'm up in the hills).  I plan to buy a spinning bike.

Jogging is out because of the unfriendly soi dogs. I suppose I'll have to invest in a treadmill.

Machine gym work is probably not possible, unless there is a well-equipped gym in the town, (unlikely).

Free weights should be fine.

I need to buy a range of dumb-bell weights 2.5 - 8 Kg, and also a bar with changeable weights.

Can anyone suggest a shop in BKK or Pattaya that sells these types of free weights and bar + bar weights?

Should have moved near me..My gym is 20bht for as long as you like and a looooong cycleway around a lake at it's door......

Simon,

I seen them in most major shopping centers super sport i believe has them. You could also check lazada (got a lot of weights there)

Rob, I've seen plenty of shops which sell dumb-bells in various weights.  I don't remember seeing bars with a range of circular disc weights.

bahtsold.com has a lot of used stuff for sale. might luck out and find what you are looking for.
