A European man has been rescued after he was floating off Patong Beach for almost two hours over the weekend.

 

Kusoldharm Rescue were notified about the incident at 8.35pm on Saturday night.

 

Divers from Kusoldarm Foundation searched for the man for two hours while Patong lifeguards were on standby on the beach.

PHUKET: An American tourist who was reported missing after entering the sea at Patong Beach on Saturday night was found safe two hours later.

 

Witnesses notified the Phuket Kusoldharm Foundation Centre at about 8pm on Saturday (Sept 22) that a man had entered the sea in front of the Royal Palm Patong Hotel and then disappeared.

 

Patong lifeguards, members of the Patong Baywatch group, long-tail boat and jet-ski owners, volunteers from the Patong Development Foundation and police joined together to search for the man who was eventually found floating in the sea at 10:30pm.

I thought that Phuket still didn't have official lifeguards, they can't find a budget for it. So why would they get their feet wet for an intoxicated naked farang man?

Those lifegaurds deserve a big tip from the man whose life they saved, well done boys.

 

Are these people presented with a bill for a protracted rescue operation like this?
