Is Sharia Law next?
Sharia will never encompass a foothold in the US, its citizens are armed against tyranny unlike the countries where it exists. Though it may happen in the lunatic blue cities and states. -

Foreigner arrested for drug consume and three year overstay (Possible to get bail?)
A colleague of mine has asked me for advice as his acquaintence a French man has been arrested for overstay, drug related charges etc. In total it would be 5 charges. Basically he wanted to know if it would be possible to bail him out and what would be the standard rate if he hired a lawyer to defend his case. I heard that the lawyers usually charge around 200,000 Baht in the case that are many charges -

Crime Swedish Man Beaten by Girlfriend & Mob of 10 Men in Soi Buakhao, Pattaya
Picture courtesy of พัทยา จุดเกิดเหตุ A Swedish national has filed a police report following a shocking and brutal assault in central Pattaya, leaving him with blood streaming down his face and injuries. The incident occurred late night on 28 June, in Soi Buakhao, a popular area for nightlife and bars. According to police at Pattaya City Police Station, the man and a male friend arrived at the station visibly shaken and covered in blood. The victim claimed that he had first been attacked by his Thai girlfriend during a heated argument. The situation escalated when a group of over ten unidentified Thai men appeared and violently set upon him in the street. “I don’t know who those men were or why they attacked me,” the victim said, visibly distressed and exhausted. “I was completely defenceless. I came here to relax, not to be beaten in the middle of the street.” Images shared on social media and by local witnesses show the Swedish man with injuries to his face and head, sparking a wave of concern among locals and tourists alike. “This is supposed to be a city of smiles,” one comment read. “Now it’s a city of tears and blood.” The incident has raised serious questions about safety in Pattaya, a city that relies heavily on tourism for its economy. Concerns are mounting over increasing levels of street violence and the adequacy of law enforcement response in such cases. Police have confirmed they are urgently reviewing CCTV footage from the area in an attempt to identify the group of attackers and bring them to justice. Authorities are appealing to witnesses to come forward with any information, while also promising swift action to reassure both residents and tourists. “This kind of violence is unacceptable,” a police spokesperson said. “We are doing everything possible to identify the culprits and ensure that Pattaya remains a safe destination for all visitors.” Adapted by Asean Now from พัทยา จุดเกิดเหตุ 2025-06-29 -
