pretty shoddy driving or attempted driving. Instead of going with traffic, making a proper u turn in the proper direction, she wanted to cut across 4 lanes of traffic and head in the opposite direction.  So typical of so many Thais.  Just want to do what they want

I didn't take that inference from that scene. I saw a young boy immediately try to help his mother in what' for him, would have been a frightening and dangerous situation.

Mother should be locked up in a asylum, child should be put in Government care to avoid and further endangerment, bike to be crushed, Truck driver told to get all his s##t off the dash so he has clear line of site of all traffic, I believe in some countries it is illegal to have toys and other ornaments covering the dash.

Well, there is jaywalking and then there is jaycycling. I jaycycle occasionally myself, but after I watched this video, I put it on my list of deprecated practices. The few seconds saved aren't worth the risk and there's always the possibility of being T-boned by a lane-splitting cyclist or motorcyclist if one is careless traversing to the next lane.
