Hey guys, I've been desperately trying to find a place to buy beef mince at a place near one of the Sukhumvit BTS stations but haven't been able to find any.

 

You'd think Gourmet Market or Tops Market would sell it but every time I've visited they don't have it available.

 

Does anyone know of a place that sells beef mince? My meat sauce has been lacking after switching to pork mince.

Villa Market by Soi 33/1.

Or EmQuartier.

Foodland sells it, Tops sells it, Villa sells it, Tesco sells it, Big C sells it.  If it's not there when you go, try going at a different time.  You can also buy from those places online, with the exception of Foodland.

don't know if there's a makro near Sukhumvit but that's where I go near where I live to get frozen imported ground beef, 1kg bags, usually use 500g at a time for meatloaf, bolognaise, chilli, etc...they also got fresh ground beef to order but much more expensive...a straight substitution pork for beef in recipes is no good as the pork has got tons more fat even if ye drain most of it off during cooking...

Haven't had any luck over the last 6 months with Tops, Tesco, and Big C -- which stores are you seeing it at?

I think the japanese supermarkets in Central world (Isetan) will have it, or the one in MBK?

 

Have you tried Central Chidlom as well? on ground floor in the back....

Tops in Robinsons, Soi 19, Tesco Onnut, Big C Onnut. 

There's also a butcher in the small soi used as Villa's car park (Soi 33/1)

Villa on soi 33/1 had beef mince but it was pretty poor quality.

 

I'll try these other places and update the thread.

EmQuartier have a whole counter devoted to beef....I noticed they have proper steak mince there if you want top quality.

I stopped buying it from Foodland since it's full of bonesplinters....
