Apple and MacIntosh Computer and iPhone Repair in Chiang Mai

To start afresh, what is the latest up-to-date information and experience regarding repair of MacIntosh computers and purchase and installation of parts, such as new batteries --- not iPhone batteries but computer batteries.  And a question about iPhone batteries and replacement.

 

There is the maintenance "shop" in Airport Plaza for Macs and iPhones.  What sorts of replacements and repairs are available, and from where?  Singapore?  How much time needed, etc. ?

 

Other shops?  There used to be a hard-to-spot independent Mac repair shop years ago on the north side of Huey Kaew Road somewhere above the intersection with the Superhighway.  Still there?  Any others of which people might be aware?  Experience?

 

Regarding iPhones, all sorts of cheap batteries are commonly available from small independent shops with limited (six month) warranty for replacement of the original battery (and breaking the warranty on the phone).  I have purchased two Bt 900 or Bt1200 each (as I recall).  The Apple special program to replace batteries at minimal cost on some models is still good, I believe, until the end of the year --- but probably not for phones previous cracked.  Any experience with that?

May I recommend Majic, 3rd floor Pantip Plaza.

Opens at 10.30, know their stuff and friendly positive attitude.

Jonwilly beat me to the punch- I too recommend Majic to repair Apple products UNLESS the device is under warranty take it to the Apple store in Airport Plaza.  They were sending to Singapore anything needing repair when they first opened up while they supposedly were gearing up trained staff to repair in Thailand- you have to go and check the current situation

STar Avenue next to high rise Supalai Monte on Superhighway Road has an Apple repair shop. It is the left most shop looking at star avenue from the highway. from what people tell me, they have everything to repair your mac or iphone products at a reasonable price.
