sounds great, ive been ti vietnam several times, going to Da Nang next week..

if i get bored with living in thailand, im sure na trang or similar, will be my next spot..

is there anything to be wary about--in vietnam{other than the traffic}  ???

  • Maybe having half of the beach hidden behind "nourishment" hoardings for years on end  has taken its toll ??

We've had this debate recently, in fact we have it every year.  In my humble opinion, there is little to no difference, at least in Pattaya, from the supposed high season to low season.  There are peaks and troughs throughout the year.   The only exception is at Christmas/ New Year (same everywhere tourists go) and arguably around Christian Easter

Exactly. Having first visited Thailand in 1984, now in 2018 I have no use for it, except for medical. The welcome is gone. There are adjacent countries that are, now, the way Thailand was back when I first came. 

All the traffic is stuck back up by the "dolphin" round about due to the terminal 21 madness
