Edible Pizza

Yes, I have tried Pala, its good but it kills me to spend $10 on two small slices of pizza. I can get a whole pie back home for that, although Pala crust was superb and the cheese real. Sauce was a little bland.

Today, feeling a yen and hungry after a long afternoon in the Photo Stores at Fortune Town (that seems to be the place to go for those Photo oddball things),  and passing a Yamazaki in the BTS, I walked in and found pizza at 28b a small slice. I like their hot dog rolls and suchlike, but never saw pizza, or just missed it. Anyway, took two slices home and nuked it just now and gentlemen, its edible. Total Japanese style with probably ersatz cheese and very sweet sauce, small bits of ham, thin yet soggy crust (hey I nuked it, OK) but it fills that hole for $2.00 and would be perfect to soak up booze. Of course they arent open late but I think I will buy a slice or two at my local Yamazaki before I go out next time to have on the stash for that 4am booze counteracting stomach fill.

I had a bad experience a few years ago with the Pizza Connection, and beyond its effect on my gut it was bleh. So I pass this one on for your reference.

Pala is half price just before closing.  Have taken many slices home before football games, microwave what I don’t finish the next day.  But they’re more restrictive than they used to be because half price must be below cost with all that imported cheese.

Yeah but ya got to be there before closing. And if Im out around there, there is a good chance that I will be busy when they close.. ????

But thanks for the tip, they close at 11 and there are nights I go home early, frustrated, because no girl liked my offer...I mean no girl liked me. So I will check it out!

They are also in T21 Pattaya now , half price after 10 pm . Not same as Italian pizza , but great taste and a thick crust.

Gallery Pizza Sathorn Soi 11.  Delivery until 4am.  2 pizzas for ฿499 (+฿60 delivery) is a decent deal.  Have a funky art gallery there too which is worth checking out.

Do they deliver to Thonburi LOL. At 4am Im not taking a detour to Sathorn. Have you tried it?

I assume they would deliver to Thon Buri if they will come all the way out to Phra Khanong. It might not be as good as that Pala place (haven’t tried it and hate the idea of spending ฿1800 on a pizza) but the prices are far lower and it’s still really good gourmet style pizza.  Definitely a cut above the chain restaurants.

That Yamazaki pizza is revolting. I would actually rather eat Pizza Company. That's how revolting it is.

You never ate pizza in Japan then. its Japanese style. I used to eat it at the Train stations after too much Sochu.

Im going to ask!  Its only 7 klicks to my condo, vis a vis 9 klicks to PK. Blast right down Sathon Thai, no traffic at 4am! Thanks for the tip!

Microwaved pizza? Blooohargggg...

Cold is good too. Or left out on the kitchen table for 6 hours  with the box top still open and a bite from someone out of the last piece, surrounded by crushed cigarette butts. Wander out of the bedroom with a splitting headache and that stomach feeling, spy it and attack!

true story, maybe 7-8 years ago

this business was eventually stopped by the local police

I ate pizza in Japan. The one where you sit in the restaurant and make your own. I forgot the name. This is nowhere the same like Pizza in Japan. Did I say it's revolting ???? Wouldn't pay 1 baht for it.

I am surprised a man of your hiso statue is calling this Pizza decent. Now I do buy some crap at Yamazaki from time to time, like their ham sandwiches and those coconut flavored muffins and apple pies at their sister store Saint Etoile, but that pizza man ????

That depends on the quality of the rest of the delivery. Maybe they delivered the meat which the pizza guys didn't want to touch. ????

The void dude its all about that tummy void. Read the OP, although know I know about 4am delivery I dont need to prepare with Yamazaki Train station pizza, Japanese style! Over in Tokyo One night I slammed like 4 pieces at the station where the loyal dog statue is....I was wasted!

See and I dont like Yamazaki ham sarnie. Their Croque Monsoooor is quite chi chi though.

Here, you seem like a man of refined taste, got a grill and a spare 10,000? Ill cook!

Anyone microwaving pizza would do well to buy a small toaster-oven.

Great for making cheese toast and sandwiches as well.

Personally I would much rather eat it cold than microwaved...

Absolutely. Roasted Scottish cheddar on toast with cracked pepper...

Roasted Scottish cheddar, I could go through a pound of cheese and a loaf of bread in an afternoon...

Let the cheese warm on top of the oven, lightly toast the bread, add the cheese, set the toaster-oven to broil and let it brown...
