Can they snag your fingers? Used one for the first time the other day and it didn't look like the closing door was waiting for me to move my fingers.

I'm quite sure there are safety systems to prevent you getting injured or losing your cash to a grab merchant.

 

I've never left my hand in long enough to find out, they do seem somewhat "enthusiastic".

 

They seem to sense when you take your hand out and start closing quite promptly, don't stick your hand back in to insert more money, you can do that once it's counted the first lot.

I never saw blood on them so they must be safe enough. ????
