So the UK is still seeing growth, while the Eurozone is heading into recession and there's a severe slow down in China / global growth. And this is all while there is uncertainty over Brexit.

This shows just how resilient the UK economy is. Thanks for posting.

still seeing growth yes,so why risk it for the sake of a few immigrants and 5 minutes quicker to see a doctor.   when we go into recession after brexit at least you knew the facts before it,but iam sure you will find some other excuse,

of course, given that 20% of dr's are EU citizens as opposed to 5% of the general population, if they all leave there will be fewer dr for each person remaining to go and see.

And of course drs are in demand thought the EU so the can easily find jobs elsewhere

For the UK, the choice can be summarised as one between democracy and permanent second-class statehood; freedom to hire and fire the people who make the laws we have to obey and pay for, or the triumph of pessimism due to the mistaken and craven belief that we aren’t mature and sensible enough to run our own affairs, and must cleave to a supranational body with minimal democratic legitimacy because we are too insignificant to defend our right to democratic self-government.

I totally agree with you. Even the loony left have as much faith in Corbyn, than Corbyn does. Who can believe in such a man that changes his mind every week. He has ruined the Labour party along with his middle class MP's pretending to be supporting the people. Hypocrites.

With the Tories and  Mays handling of Brexit , the uncertainty and the dithering about , they seem to have been taken by surprise with the Brexit result and not too sure what to do , and its quite common for the opposition party to gain in popularity during a current parties tenure , Labour should be way ahead in the polls for a forthcoming election .

But they are not , Corbyn and his right hand woman , Abbot have shown themselves to be even worse than the Tories .

You keep quoting the bookies , you dont seem to realise how the bookies work .

I think if Nigel's new party takes off and he fronts it with plain speaking, public responsive, middle of the road individuals he could do quite well.

Lets face it if you look at the records of the Conservatives and Socialists you can only conclude at the moment we are politically homeless.

iam well aware how they work,i know loads of leave voters who've squandered everything to their masters.Labour should be well ahead yes but i think there will be a few twists to come that will see them win it,replacing corbyn would be a good start.

Farage failed to be elected in every General Election he stood as a candidate.

1997, 2001, 2005, 2010, 2015.

Also failed to be elected in every Parliamentary by-election he stood:

1994 + 2006.

So much for plain speaking. And as for UKIP being middle-of-the-road in Parliamentary elections: :cheesy:

Our doctors surgery is staffed by 1 Brit Doctor, 1 Pakistani and 4 Indian doctors. The other surgery in town is staffed by 1 Brit Doc and 5 Asian doctors.

All this shows me,is that we are not training enough of our own doctors, relying instead on enticing doctors away from where they are needed.

At the moment we train 7500 doctors each year, although the government  now states they will increase this number up to 8500. Unfortunately this number is still 1000+ short.

Of course they are but they are from Remainers so expect nothing better.

"Grouse" isn't so bad, but bomber is a rabid Remainer and both have been on my ignore list for a while. I just cannot be bothered with either of them.

During the last couple of years, reading Grouses posts, I’ve often thought, would’t it be nice if Grouse actually took charge of the remain campaign in London. With his arrogant and self important attitude, I would expect that he could single handedly increase the support for Brexit to 85% of the population. But now that we have his side kick, bomber, perhaps I should say 95%.

Unfortunately to a certain extent, you are correct. Though why successive governments have not come up with, some sort of contract, before they start their training. I do’t know.

I wouldn't get too excited. He's 9/2.

Hard Brexit is also long at 13/5.
