Prescription only, have to get at a hospital

 

there is a local generic brand, less expensive (GPO-A-Flu)

Yes. Exact same thing.

I was told at pharmacies that it’s only avaible on prescription ! Do you know where can get over counter

A consultation at a private hospital will cost about 300 baht. Just factor that into the price.

You cannot get this over the counter or at a pharmacy. You have to go to a hospital or clinic and it must be prescribed by a doctor.

Of course, the kicker is that the hospital (if private) is unlikely to stock the generic version, and you'll be forced to pay a ridiculous amount for the branded version.

I hope Bangkok Christian stock the generic because I ain’t paying 2000 baht for 10 tablets,which a friend paid earlier this year !
