Popular Post webfact Posted December 18, 2018 Popular Post Posted December 18, 2018 Stay safe, drink coffee before driving, says Nescafe in New Year campaign By The Nation FILE photo Nescafe has joined with the Highway Police Division in a New Year holiday campaign that they say will encourage people to drive home safely. The “Drink Nescafe before Driving” campaign will see the company hand out their ready-do-drink Nescafe Espresso Roast to over 100,000 drivers before they begin the journey home during December 29 to 31. They will target five Highway Police Public Service Centres – Wang Manao, Wang Noi, Tubkwang and Prasatthat – which cover outbound routes from Bangkok to four regions nationwide, and Seeda, which covers outbound routes from Bangkok to all other regions. Indeed, if memory serves it was 'chicken essence' ... just didn't/don't get their drift how these overpriced concoctions are supposed to be of help, especially in this context ...? 3
Popular Post PatOngo Posted December 18, 2018 Popular Post Posted December 18, 2018 Finally, the ultimate solution emerges...and to think it was right under our very noses all along! 5
bojo Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Personally, I think this slogan can be quite ambiguous. In my opinion, if you aren't used to decent strong espresso(s), the rush can catch some off guard and it can hinder driving ability/decision making in the short term far more than moderate alcohol intake.... 1 1

Psimbo Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 So- it's OK to have a drink so long as you whack one of their products down your neck before driving- great marketing strategy! 2
Popular Post wgdanson Posted December 18, 2018 Popular Post Posted December 18, 2018 Coffee only make a wide awake drunk driver, certainly not a safe one because there isn't one. Nescafe needs a good bol....king. 5 1
Popular Post DNPBC0 Posted December 18, 2018 Popular Post Posted December 18, 2018 If you already have alcohol in your stomach, then a non-alcoholic drink can increase the surface area for absorption of the alcohol and further increase your blood alcohol level. 3 1

This is about Nescafe and you mention "decent strong espresso". Where is the connection? 1 4

Henrik Andersen Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 So now Thai people think it is OK to be drunk because they just have to drink this miracle coffee and they can drive Welcome to amazing Thailand P. S. Why not just confiscate drunk peoples car's and give 100000 b fine if pay you get your car back after alcohol test every week in 3 months 1
sirineou Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 I wonder how long it will be before someone takes their advice . gets into an accident and then sues them .
Popular Post CGW Posted December 18, 2018 Popular Post Posted December 18, 2018 I'm sure it is just plain wrong to use the words coffee and Nescafe in the same sentence? At least it is a improvement on years past when Singha used to sponsor the signs outside all police stations! sure others will remember that? 3

Then I know I won't order it because I had real coffee in mind. 1 1
Dogbarker Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 So that's a 100,000 drivers stopping by the roadside having to find a place to pe*.. That will add to the obstacles and carnage..... 1
Popular Post AhFarangJa Posted December 19, 2018 Popular Post Posted December 19, 2018 Nescafe Coffee is an oxymoron of the highest calibre. 2 2
Classic Ray Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Believe this is aimed at helping sober drivers stay awake rather than sobering up drunk drivers. Since the second most common excuse for collisions after brake failure is falling asleep, a laudable campaign. 1
simtemple Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Drinking coffee doesn't prevent driver fatigue
mickymouse1 Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 I never knew that nèssie was a real coffee???? 1
TPI Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 A course in Oz made the point that if you drink coffee while drunk...you're still drunk, only now you're wide awake!!????

Us downunderers love our Nescafe, it sure tastes better than that reheated tar the Thai's call coffee and no human could like the US versions...no milk or sugar!!!!! ????????
connda Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Nothing as disingenuous as blatant self-promotion passed off as a public service in order to increase sales. 1
