Dr. Waraporn Klanwarin - Dermatoligist

Featured Replies

Dr Waraporn is a Dermatologist at Pattaya International Hospital.    Any recommendations from any former patients?    I am looking for skin cancer check up.     I am familiar with Dr Anna at BPH   but I am looking for a possible alternative.

I know both very well. Dr. Anna has a ton of medical experience, probably partially to credit, that I am still alive and is not a beauty dermatologist. Bit rough, but knows her job well. I like her and recommend her.

Dr. Waraporn does a very detailed skin check-up with dermascope etc. if you clearly tell them  when you make your appointment, so there is no time pressure and a bunch of patients waiting. She also does fotos and is also very pleasant. You will have a quick sit down in her office, then you must already stress what you expect. Then they will get you in a different room for the check-up. She has 1 young nurse, who is very knowledgeable and interested and takes part when around in the check-up.

Not a bad idea switching between, if you are a high risk patient or have skin cancer issues now or previously. They seem to be a bit reluctant to do a FULL, you know what I mean skin check, if you feel they left some parts and they need to be seen, just tell her. It really should be from top of head to toes. Never know....Best of luck. MS>

I can honestly vouch for Dr Waraporn. I have been seeing her for over 10 years and her professionalism is something to behold and appreciated. She recently discovered a suspicious mole on my back and after it tested positive for melanoma she successfully operated and removed all the tumour. However my twice yearly visit is always painful as she applies the liquid nitrogen to well over 100 parts of my body starting with the face and ears. So no complaints and every satisfaction.

Can you give an indication of the price of seeing Dr. Waraporn for some nitrogen spraying and a basic annual check-up? I've been seeing Dr. Anna for 10 years now and while she's very good the bill the last few years always seems to be around 5000-6000 Baht, no matter what. When I first started seeing her it was only 1500 Baht or so for the same thing. Is Dr. Waraporn cheaper, or about the same price?

Hi, how much is a skin check up with each of these doctors please?

I went earlier this year for a full skin check - or that is what I asked for.

Had to wait about 20 minutes after my appointment time and I left feeling the check had been a little "speedy" - all be it seemed reasonably thorough. This was the first time I had seen her. Nothing else was done and I was probably with her only 20-30 minutes or so.

Bill was around 1500/1600 baht.

Both DR.'s are similar. PIC tends to be a bit lower sometimes. Basic cost anywhere from 1'500 - 2'500. With nitrogen-removals it will and can go up to around 5'000.-- depending on how many. If you don't have insurance and are concerned about the cost, you can tell and discuss with both DR.'s They are both kind.

Just to keep it in perspective.....Prices for medical services are such a wide range, even in European countries there are massive differences, some countries like Germany are heavily regulated, others next door still more liberal in pricing.  I can give you  samples of a full check-up with quite a few "nitrogenized" spots........Paid in cash w/o insurance involved: Germany paid: 280.-- Euros / Regular small skin clinic.   Switzerland paid 800.-- Euros (Topnotch hospital & head of dermatology).   USA: Specialized Skin Clinic

950.- US$.  TH: In BKK GOOD "Falang" hospital 3'800.-- Baht  Pattaya:  2 hospitals between 3'500 - 5'800, varies...cheapest ever was 1'800.--

MERRY X-MAS & Good Health for 2019. MS>
