Suspected con @ Big C

Featured Replies

While sitting in the foodhall at lunchtime I was approached by Chinese-looking bloke aged around 20 smartly dressed in black T shirt and trousers. Without saying a word he thrust a newly laminated document in my direction which began "Dear Sir or Madam". Without reading any further I gave it back and politely blanked him. He then tried 2 other ferangs and was fobbed off there too. With hindsight I should perhaps have photographed him and the document but I really couldn't be bothered.

I realize a plague of con artists descend upon the islands at this time of year but this is the first time I have been taken for a tourist in daylight & in a supermarket!

Merry Christmas everyone & please be on your guard ????

Had a stranger approach me one time and asked if I was aware that I was trailing a chunk of toilet paper on my shoe...

Nothing suggested he was deaf. My understanding was that he might not have spoken English or was too shy and was just a mule for however put them up to it.

It's just the typical scenery, man not speak and show card.

Happened so often to me.

On the other hand the beggar who can't speak Thai nor English is another option.

Only the OP can shed light on that.
