Blind mystic Baba Vanga who foresaw 9/11 and Brexit predicted worldwide gloom in 2019

A blind mystic who predicted Brexit, the Twin Towers attacks and the rise of ISIS has predicted "worldwide gloom" for the whole of 2019.

Baba Vanga has been dubbed the "Nostradamus of the Balkans" for her predictions, which seem to strike with eerie regularity.

Her image is particularly popular in Eastern Europe, particularly in the Balkans and in Russia. Russian publications related to the mysterious prophetess are numerous. "The Great Encyclopedia of Vanga" is a Russian online project, dedicated to her.

These types are a dime a dozen over there. Remember this is the original "Orient", The line of demarcation between Europe and the Orient is actually between, Zagreb and Belgrade, not further east as is popularly assumed today.

I do like how her prophecies that never turn our correctly are vigorously denied by her followers - NO she never said that about the 94 World Cup, etc etc. If things pluck up, just issue a denial. You gotta like that tactic!

She probably made some vague predictions, died in 1985, and then there are the funny folks, who interpret and combine her ideas to the real world afterwards.

All gloom and doom.

The real question is, why there are so many people who wish the world to end? Is it because they are no longer happy in their lives? Is it because they think there is no longer enough mysteries to be solved during their lifetimes?

I personally think that we should, once again, make sciences part of our everyday life. Teach each of us see the world in a new way, where we can discover new things all the time. Perhaps not for the fame, but for ourselves and for our communities.
