Yery first extension of Thai Driving License

Featured Replies

My very first 2 year Temporary Driving Licenses (both Motorbike + Car) expire on February 23, 2019.

My questions:
1. When is the earliest possible time to apply for an extension?
2. Which documents other than Medical Certificate and Residence Certificate are still required?

Thanks for help!

Do you see the header about three up, Thai Drivers Licence Checklist? All questions nswered there.

Found only answer about required documents. Still missing information about my first question:

When is the earliest possible time to apply for an extension (from temp. 2 year to 5 year DL)?

Many thanks for advice!

If I remember correctly it was a month before.

I found the following info on the Trat DLT website:

Google Translate helps and as far as I understand it, the earliest possible time to apply for an extension is:

- Temporary Thai Driving Licenses: No more than 60 days

- All other types: No more than 90 days
