Stench of Motor Boat Exhaust and Fuel on the Beach

The new beach certainly looks wonderful, a great improvement over the old beach. However, the areas occupied by motor boats and jet-skis are much larger than swimming areas. As the water vehicles come to shore, there is a strong stench of engine exhaust and fuel, ruining and polluting the wonderful fresh sea breeze.  Those water vehicles should be restricted to small portion of beach to limit pollution, fueling operations and expand the enjoyment of natural beach features for the greater good of beach patrons.

Finally, jet-skis occupy the beach at night. No vehicle should be allowed to occupy the beach at night.

The previous City Hall regime wanted all boat operators to work from Bali Hai pier last year. The operators; fair play to them; stood up for themselves and refused to go there, remaining on the beach.

A report in today's Bangkok Post has the pier described as a deathtrap by a group of locals and tourists who have complained to City Hall. Cracks are apparently visible on the pier and some of the street furniture. Maybe Thai Visa could shed more light on this?

I guess boat operators will be staying put on the beach for now.

You are complaining about things that are out of your control.

I suggest you not go there during those peak times.

If you do, then continue to suffer with no resolution.
