Police check for Non-B

Featured Replies

I just got a job offer at a University and the paperwork to go to a consulate to process a Non-B.

The Uni gave me all the documents and told me to leave for Laos on Monday to go get my visa and get back as quick as possible since I will be missing the first week of the term.

I was just about to book a flight when I noticed that I might (or might not) need a police check.

Do I need a police check for a University teaching job?  I was going to go Vientiene.

I wouldn't mind getting one here in Bangkok, but they were rather insistant that I go as quicly as possible to get the visa.  If not Vientiene, then where should I go?

Regards

Don't forget that you need a work permit before you are allowed to work, if you don't have one you work illegally and could be deported and banned if caught

You don't have to do it at Vientiane. Savannakhet has the same requirements as Vientiane.

Penang might be more difficult to get it. They could ask for a police clearance from you home country.
