We arrive at phuket airport just before midnight (23,30) on a saturday and i was wondering what our transport options are at that time?

will there be taxis for a fixed price to kata/karon or is it negiotiation on spot? what time does the shared van stop running?

You're too late for the Smart Bus but the shared minibus will still be running.

 

You could try asking your hotel for a pickup service. Should be around 900-1000 baht to Karon (expect at least 50% more if you're staying anywhere upmarket!)

For a relaxed ride i would always go with them. No hassle and no scams.

As far as I know they run 24 hours. But you might have to wait around until they're full and Karon/Kata customers are generally dropped off last as they generally go via Patong. If you have a tour agent stop you'll be at least two hours, even at that time.
