Anyone know the new electric tariffs for 2019

The reason I am asking is we have an ongoing problem with the electric bill since the lightning strike blew our meter and the not new meter had units already on.

They say the will correct, lots of forms filled in that was almost three months ago.P1080983.thumb.JPG.20450937e6f3e06a4ca276d2a5278dd1.JPG

The usual household tariff is "1.2" from this site:

http://www.mea.or.th/en/profile/109/111

(PEA and MEA tariffs do not differ)

Rule of thumb: ~ 4.4 Baht/unit.

Not much change over the years.

Small changes due to "Ft" fuel price addon.

Do you have older bills that show the amount of units consumed?

Do you think that the number of units is higher than it was in the past?

The only difference that I can see from last year on my current bill is that the fuel tariff increased from -0.1590 to -0.1160 a minor increase.  My basic  bill including VAT is about 4.2 baht/KWH.

@sometime what sort of problems are you having with your bill?

The system in place when meters are swapped is relatively simple. Final reading of the existing meter (good luck with that one from the photo) and the initial reading of the new one are recorded on the paperwork and everything should be good to go.

That was dated 2015, I read in the Bangkok post last year that in January 2019 that an increase of 6% would added.

As I said before, the fuel tariff on my January bill is  -0.1160.  I used 617 KWH and the total bill, including VAT, is 2641.70.  That means that the cost per KWH is 4.28 baht/KWH.  I live in a rural area and are serviced by PEA.

In January 2018, the FT was-0.15490.  I used 549 KWH and the bill, including VAT, was 2303.18 baht.  The  cost then was 4.20 baht/KWH.

Not much difference and the increase was driven by the increased FT.

The meter swap took 2 weeks OK they joined the wires sent an estimated bill that was fine, then they came to read the meter but that included 518 units that were already on the meter when they put it in.

Also the meter readings crossed over the estimated bill by 12 days so we were paying twice for the 12 days.

We are now waiting for the new bill or another estimated one, that should be on 02/2019 LOL

Just fount the item the increase will only be 1.2 the actual rate should be 3.84 baht, a 6.7% rise, but the ERC and state utilities have cash on hand of roughly 10.3 billion baht, which is enough to maintain the FT rate at lower than expected.

Also the per-unit-price is not static/fixed, it varies with the amount of total used units!
Was introduced maybe 7 or so years ago to 'encourage less consumption' over all ... yeah, a good one as folks with some money won't give a hoot & only the poorer ones get hit really ...

Check it out on different bills but make sure same FT parameter has been applied ...
