What are the steps to be taken to get to the correct Visa status for an Extension based upon Employment?

Can this be done in-country, or do I have to leave the country and apply for a Visa?

Is the first step to convert my 30 Day Visa Waiver to a 90 Day Non-Imm-B?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you have at least 15 days remaining on your entry or the 30 day extension of it you can apply for a non immigrant visa (category B) entry at immigration.

General requirements are here (click Eng at the top of the page to change it from Thai). https://www.immigration.go.th/content/service_72

If not you will have to apply at a nearby embassy or consulate after your company applies for your work permit to get a approval letter for it.

Many thanks Joe, that is very clear info.

I will update here after next steps, for the record.

i would leave it to my employer to do the paper work and prepare everything..

I dont know what kind of job you will get.. so steps are different...

like Ubon said.. if you have more days then 15 on your visa you can apply to change it, if not go to laos and get a tourist or NON-B from thai embassy.

good luck and welcome to thailand ????
