Not that he should be having any trouble finding violators...the whole country seems to be built on corruption. But he does seem to be doing more than anyone else to clean it up for which he should be applauded. Hopefully he is grooming some others to follow in his footsteps and perhaps a dent can be put into the enormous problem that corruption has grown into for Thailand.

I'll sit up and take notice when BJ takes down an entire corrupt immigration office or two, and then when the remaining bad players who haven't been cowed into some semblance of decency try to slip him some moolah... he takes a couple of them down publicly as well.  Don't even care if they're reassigned... as long as they're out of the immigration dept. completely.  Fired is good also, at least for the ringleaders/bosses... I'm sure they can live on their ill-gotten gains.

Wouldn't even care if he's doing it to fuel political ambitions at this point either.

Until then he's just taking down small fry and competitors.

Yes well done cleaning up the Nigerians is a good step forward.

As for the Thai police involved, a posting to Koh Tao could be on the books

to note the pension is ordered to come from source direct to a Thai bank...

No it's not. The pension can come via a UK or any other foreign bank and transferred to the Thai bank account. There's no need for the pension people to send it direct to the Thai bank. As long as Thai Immigration see it coming from overseas, that's all they want. They don't care what foreign entity it originated from.

I know what I am going to write here is something really controversial and even disturbing for some people, and I am honestly welcoming the changes like this which are supposed to be 'right'.  However, big or small, part of what attracted us and led us here to Thailand was somehow, Thainess, which includes unlawfulness, I believe.

Even more so as this topic is 11 months old and the man in question got the boot.
