my Oz passport is filling up a bit but it has 3 blank pages at the front that immigration skipped for some reason. On my next trip to immi can they use the empty pages at the beginning? Stamps don't have to be in order do they??? cheers

Are you asking about Thai immigration?

I ask because your thread is in the "... other countries" forum (not Thailand) and might be missed by the knowing.

I’ve certainly asked an IO in Thailand to stamp in a blank space nearer the front of my passport, and they obliged, I suppose it depends on individual IO, but they don’t need to be in order.
The only other time I asked an IO for help with saving pages was entering OZ where my polite request was met with a smirk and a stamp at an angle bang in the middle of one of my two remaining blank pages, what a charming lady I thought to myself.

This is one of my pet hates, for some reason most IOs anywhere seem to love going to a blank page to mkae their stamp, I have gaps all over my passport which would add up to 3-4 pages if you could fit those gaps all together. My other pet hate is the passport fills up but still has 3,4,5 years validity, should be able to get extra pages inserted up until the passport expires.

Extra pages became unavailable with the increases in security that passports now provide.

Some countries offer the choice of a passport with more pages when applying for a new one at extra cost.

But yes, after that no insertion.
