On the brightside - it may be the first case where jetski operators have noted actual damage to their skis, as opposed to the made up damage they normally fleece tourists for.

Not the first case...there was that western couple some time ago, the girl was killed in a similar accident.

a couple weeks ago TAT send out a message saying.... Thailand is safe..... every single day there are reports of accidents,,, yesterday motorbike in Pattaya the day before capsized boat in Koh Lanta, today a Russian, yesterday I saw a couple of Chinese being taken by ambulance to the nearby hospital also motorbike accident and the list could go on and on.... so where is the Safe Thailand, did it moved? yesterday somebody, while searching for Safe Thailand, made a comment, because he couldn't find it,  about updating google maps, I guess they didn't had time for the update yet.... Thailand is anything but SAFE

Just imagine the US Game Wardens offshore with their Alcohol Laws. Most dont rent till their a bit pissed.

Sounds like a James Bond scene. Good luck to them recovering and i hope they dont get ripped off as well.
