Army Commander-in-Chief General Apirat Kongsompong has ordered legal action to be taken against Seri Ram Thai party leader Pol Gen Seripisut Temiyavej for allegedly insulting an army officer and his army insignia.

A well-informed army source said that General Apirat had ordered the filing of a police complaint accusing the former national police chief of making damaging and insulting remarks in an interview with a local newspaper.

Since the alleged remarks were shared on social media, Seripisut also faces a charge of violation of the Computer Crimes Act, said the source.

The army is a fragile and highly sensitive entity. It needs love, hugs and sunlight.

It bruises easily and takes a long time to recover. Adverse conditions such as a song, a dance, a joke, or a war will render it useless.

Everyone in a position of power, in the elite strata, is well aware of the laws on defamation and the computer crimes act.

Yet they still keep doing things to get sued and prosecuted!

Says a lot about the mentality of the top strata!

Two men were found guilty of raising a "liberty pole" and putting a sign on it that said, "downfall to the Tyrants of America." Another was arrested, but never tried, for circulating a petition to repeal the Alien and Sedition Acts themselves. A drunk was fined $150 for insulting President Adams.

Not only Thailand.

Lets cut the ham fisted deflections and stay with the plot.   Thanks

Don’t you want to know how he got his insignia too. Maybe we will be impressed with his explanation. Why need to be so upset.

The point was that sometimes people know the law but violate it to make a political point and that was as valid 300 years ago as it is today.

No, you were just deflecting. This has nothing to do with the USA of 200 years ago. Try something else.

Jaysooos freakin' wept.

They are just so childish.

Running to mummy beacuse their playmate said something not nice to them.

If he was asked where his medals came from and he had genuinely earned them, he should be proud to show each one and say "I got this one from fighting...", I got that one when I was shot to bits at .... battle" ...

But no. He runs crying to his so called "law".

Bluddy children.

The man gave his opinion of an Army Officer the same as Americans did of Army officers before their independence.  Nothing changes.  Knowing history is always beneficial to understanding current events.  I am not deflecting I am explaining to you what happened.
