The Phuket Water Authority (PWA) has announced that water supply in some areas of Patong, Kata and Karon will be shut off from 9am to 5pm from March 25 – 31.

Water will be shut off while work is being carried out in the repair and maintenance of the Reverse Osmosis (RO) water pumping station in Karon.

Areas to be affected include parts of Patong, Kata and Karon.

As we've had hardly any Government water for the past month and a bit this really won't make much difference.

Discovered yesterday that the meter is still running when nothing but air is being pumped in! Wondered why the bills were so high!  What chance of a refund?

It has been down a bit more than usual, but still have water every other day or so here.

Last time they announced something like this it was back on again in 3 days or so, I'm hoping for the same. One week is simply too much, the tanks can't hold enough for that period.

Yes, a bit strange announcing a water shut off when there is no water to shut off.  ????

  • 2 weeks later...

We have water here in Kata, anybody notice anything?
