Actually a few year's ago visited one at Harmondsworth detention centre before he was deported. You'll be pleased to know the government have cracked down with 10k fine for employers, 2k fine for landlords, forced banks to shut down visaless account holders, and big UK Border Force snatch squads at major transport hubs. Nearly all the ones I personally know are student overstayers. Strangely enough, they don't want to go back to Thailand but they should now the UK is no longer welcoming and the pound has been rinsed and that is the advice I give as there is no hope of overstayer amnesties any more. EU immigration means we have all the low paid employees we need and more. When I got UK tourist visas for 2 of my sister-in-laws there were only a few applying for UK visas at VFS global but a huge number wanting to go to Australia. Nearly all girls as well!
