Of the several large building supply hardware stores in the area are the prices all about the same or is there one that has generally has lower prices.

I think Thai Watsadu generally has a bit lower prices for standard building supplies. But it depends on the product and what specials are running. 

 

For me the issue is much more who has what I'm looking for in the quality I want. That usually means searching all the building stores until I find what I want. There's also specialty stores, like electrical, plumbing etc. You have to find those by word of mouth.

I would add that you need to familiarize yourself with merchandise in each store...may run into product "promotions" as a bonus for taking the time to critique each stores products...????
