Multi colour topiary plants in CM?

Featured Replies

Just wonder if anyone has seen plants like those shown in the photo below for sale anywhere in Chiang Mai area?    Those pictured are in a garden centre near Bangkok but I'd sooner try and buy one locally if possible.  Thanks

Those are nothing more than bougainvillea. You can purchase them everywhere in Thailand.

Not so easy to find them with multi coloured grafts though - the Thai name is Fuengfar.  Here's the place in Kamptein:

Not cheap, by the way.

Thanks for the tip I'll go look for them now you've given me the bearings.  Yes the multi-colour ones need quite a lot of work to get them growing that way.  Really looking for the larger topiary types but maybe they have them displayed elsewhere.

Cheers

That place has a selection of plants in various stages of maturity so don't take the Google SV picture as representing what's there now.  Have to say that I usually find their choice of colour schemes a little less than subtle.  Good luck, anyway.
