It was a very good game to watch.

Me again. Gee, just watched Geelong squeak by NM. A squeak is as good as a holler. On the idea of trying not to have favorite team, I think there is some sort of hard wiring in our DNA to push us for favorites. I have maybe 5-6 teams I prefer, but dang it's hard not to have a fave for any number of reasons that pop up after get some emotional response.

BTW, why all the hate for Collingwood? Are they similar to hate for New York Yankees in much of US? It's not like they dominate and take the fun out of the game....

Oh, and limit is now 90 interchanges (I think) and some want it to be less. Seems like ought to up the number a tad, say 100 or 110. I prefer seeing players fresh v "the running dead".

Occasionally I try to promote Aus rules with my American friends (most of whom like US football). WSJ did study showing average US game has 7 min of action, furthest runners only go about 1/4 mile tops, all that armor (or armour), field 3x bigger, game doesn't stop if get clobbered.... wondered about those pink folks out there at first. And on and on. Imagine Aus rules won't catch on. US seems to be lacking cricket grounds. And when could they do all the ad breaks?

I like your comments Emster23.

Obviously an intelligent being to fall for the best footy code in the world.

About your not having a favourite team?

If you want to favour a team that will tax your resilience and passion,, Try the Dockers..

Guaranteed years of disappointment with the odd unexpected highlight.

This week we had 3 tipsters with 9/9. They are Gazman., Old Croc and Biggwazz. Excellent tipping and its only round 2.

This weeks winners are Gazman and Biggwazz with the same margin.

We have 3 tipsters on 14 but Gazman has the least overall margin. The other 2 leaders Old Croc and Biggwazz

Unless you barrack for the Kangas.

Once again opportunities close to goal cost us.

However there's a lot more to like than the pre season suggested.

Well done to Gazman beating me in the fantasy, thought i was going to sneak up in the last game till eddy was a late inclusion and that put pay to that.

WOW scores in the 2000's in the 1st week:shock1:

Do the interchange players count?

Yes if listed as emergency for the position and a regular is not named.

I was a bit stiff with Goldstein adn Jenkins yet had scorers on the sidelines but cannot tell if they contribute or not.

Will to shuffle things around a bit already.

As Goldstein was a late withdrawl your emergency players score would count. Jenkins started the game so his score would count.

Nice work guy's.

One of the easier rounds I imagine, but still nice work to pick the card.

Round 3.....to do or die for some...

Swans vs Pies...death to the pies if they cant get this game Bucks can kiss his stage career goodbye of course he will bounce back but will be chasing his tale all year long....Swans should take it in a hard fought affair as there not excatly top billing at the opera house this week....

North vs GWS..some spirt shown by Scotts boys unfortunately the way the Giants carved up the Suns the shock round one loss has awoken the Gaint within....

Tigers Vs WCE...a ripper game at the G right now im favouring the Tigers but who knows....they really havent beaten anyone though i do think Hardwick is one of the better coaches going around....

Cats vs Dee's...2 wins for both and its not out of the question that the Cats can be knocked off...we have knocked them off at the chattery not so long ago Dees a far better team now than then...Pussys by a whisker....purrrrring but not without a fur ball getting stuck in there throat....

Port vs Crows...couldnt happen to a better state...who knows? I dont...i dare not go against either as im sure to pick the worng team to win....

Freo vs Dogs, not showing any hangover the bullies will maul the dreadful Dockers, something wrong way out west, the way the players have "dropped off" suggests the coach will need to pretty much move on another dozen players end of this year assuming they still want him as coach....Freo looking bottom 4 already...

Saints vs Lions....slippery one for the Saints, Lions are not easy beats anymore, cant play 4 quarters cant kick straight there looking like an ordinary team once more....

Blues vs Bombers....good time for the Blues to pull one back can they? How good are Worsfolds boys? When will the euphoria subside? I have no idea though i do expect fortunes to reverse for both clubs and soon...

Suns vs Hawks....torn apart by the Giants should revitalise an embarrassed Gold Cost, playing at home should be enough to get them over the line....It now can be said the Hawks are feeling the loss of Mitchell Lewis and Hill......

Paul Van der Haar is eyeballing each card board cut out, waiting for his turn.

With probably six of their best starting 22 on the injured list it is not an ideal time to lose two key players to suspension but Hoges and Lewis did the crime ,now they gotta do the time.
Luckily Vince is back this week and expect Bugg to be selected, with Watts to play forward.
But then again, what would I know,Im the twit who tipped Collingwood.
