Well how relaxed am i men?....getting to be a habit i haven't felt in <deleted> years..... Did get jumpy on my chair that first half......Blood pressure went to zero in that last quarter and was able to enjoy my dinner in fine spirts.....

 

Had a Kangaroo jump out on front of me driving home the other day......( and no i didnt take it as a sign from heaven) mind you im in an outer burb, and even luckier that i had some distance between us, he bound off into the distance on the footpath about the height of Jet Jackson who is racking up Eagle Looks...5 first round picks in 2014....Wonder how many picks the Crows and Port would offer for Cozzie....even though hes a West Aussie boy...dont ask me how it worked out he was in SA when we drafted him......

Well boys unless you had your head stuck in the sand in the last 24 hrs or so big news out of Europe over the proposed breakaway Super League....

 

Its a grab for cash of course....and how cheeky are the big 12? they expected to be able to play weekend matches then go off midweek and compete in there new Super League....

 

Lot of everybody canning these clubs all the way to the Prime Minster of England....

 

UEFA and FIFA are demanding the withdrawal of the Super League or...or...or.....these clubs WILL be banned from all Euro fixtures WILL ban players competing in the Super League from playing national team football and a few other things....

 

Thats pretty powerful stuff, several players this morning already spoken against the new league....so....what is really the go?

 

Well PSG and Bayen haven't as yet put them selves forward as there not looking for heat just yet so we can safely say that the ranks are not tight on this just yet, strong possibility if they were to go ahead with this they would be forced out of there respective leagues as well.....but the big American banks are behind this and....Asia......you see them Chinese and Thais want to see PSG play Juv every second week....the amount of TV money is enormous and of course most supporters who are now jumping up and down would tune in wouldnt that?

 

Yes its all been done before....There is some Indian super stuff going on....it hasn't died a death.....and of course Kerry Packers break away cricket....he and the cricket people eventually came on board didnt they? So its smoke and daggers for a while till these big clubs push through change.....

 

Now that the Demons are a big club again......2cd on the ladder and undefeated we should call for a break away league from the riff raff of having to play low life teams like the Saints and Dogs....throw in the Hawks and North into that lot, 4 teams out of Melbourne plus begrudgingly the Cats one form Hobart and 2 each from Sydney Perth Brisbane and Adelaide......yes lets do it.....and we can go back and call it by its proper name The Victorian Football League...as it once was....

 

The Super League news just over powered everything yesterday didnt it? well there was another peice of news if you looked hard enough and it was Jose Mourinho got the bullet from Tottenham after 17 months in the job....this is the guy Simon Goodwin spoke to about how to set up a contact....air tight......full pay out at any point.....Jose now having made more money unemployed than employed....still i really never understood why he went to Spurs....one of the renegade clubs, there a bit of a joke really, Jose is a big spending manager use to having a team of internationals playing for him, to go to cheap charlie Spurs.....with a history of Levey NOT spending....i mean someone was telling Jose lies when they signed him up no? Yes Spurs are famous for NOT getting relegated and thats about it....they use to be my team of choice back in the early 80's Glen Hoddel and the 2 Argentinians....those were the days.....Anyway Jose has a long holiday in front of him fully paid and can take his time, and dont think for a minute he will be on the nose ho no....its musical chairs over there.....there are managers that get hired as relegation specialists stop the drop......but its not working for Alderice think thats his name for West Brom this time, nope, has a reputation for coming out of retirement to save a club from going down....Jose WILL be gainfully employed again sometime soon....

 

Del Pedro knife finally got plunged into Grant Berbner's back after Melbourne City kicked Melbourne Victory for 7-0, well we have never had it so bad.....still i think Del Pedro is the problem.....unfortunately if he dont sell his stake in the club its going to end up in the second division when they get it up and running in a few years....Del Pedro has been living off the success of the glory years when the club was well set up prior to he buying in, with the right people still there, of course we knew something was up when he sacks the manager who had won us 2 flags 3 top of the ladder finishes and never been far from contention....so far Del Pedros track record for hiring managers is 2 good 4 bad one he poached from the Roar and that was Ange the Greek and of course we had in-house old Kev Muscat.....under the previous owners 

Eernie Merrick had a 42% win ratio...dont forget there are a lot of draws in soccer....once Del Pedro came in Ange who he poached and didnt last the year after going to national team manager was on 46% then Muscat who was in house form day 1 sat on 49%...after that....Del Pedro signings in Kruz 26% and Brebner  19%, interns Savachua 36% Magiliton 16% so who's been the problem men?

 

Newcastle United have won 2 on the trott.....cant believe....had to clean my glasses when i checked scores sunday....they knocked off hot to trott West ham on the weekend....safe from the drop now Bruce can relax at games going forward.....even if a flying saucer flys over training tomorrow and abducts the entire team  there is no chance of the club going down this year.....

 

Simon Goodwin has managed to keep me quite for 4 weeks now....and with next year to go on his deal its beginning to look like they WILL throw another contract at him....Jose Mourinho was instrumental in coaching Simon in his save your career or win the lottery contract its rumoured that Simon has been seeking out Mike Ashely to help him secure an 8 year deal over at Casey.....air tight of course....and for all current staff.....

Excuse me.......Not reported thats right....free given thats right....after 30 ys its getting cloudy up top....but....BUT...i use to go to all games i seen almost all of Grinters games....yes he would have been our hardest player for sure and only hard player but never dirty, well not really a dirty player, strong tackler made you feel him every time and pretty much like we see today well last season or a few, after that incident that the ducker Wallace and seen a lot of his games too as your well aware that i use to go to the G or Princess park every week Wallace was a shortie and habitably ducked when tackled as was the case that day, what u see on the screen does look awful but i was on the wing 15 meters from it different angle Grinter is committed and no chance to pull up when Wallace sees the coming tackle and ducks......into it making it a head high tackle, umps thats both and one was about 10 meters away didnt think it reportable nor did i, its a blight on the game when the media whipped it into a storm....the press where disgusting they fed off the injury like vultures.

 

What could Grinter say? the world had hung and drawn him for heavens sake to say anything other than what he has would be seen as he was in denial.....He was a marked man after that...

 

Mark Jackson who also played for us and a couple of other teams was the same....id say he was a loose cannon for sure once he got reported umps had one eye him all game....

 

Its really peed me off how at least back then the umps would target a few guys while others would get away with murder....like Reece Jones.....while playing with the Swans belted up half the Demons by half time caused a few fights didnt get reported and he threw punches, a very dirty player be became when he switched to the Blues....and like Walls would punch you in the back of the head in a pack going for a mark..... another rouge....and Essendon Ronnie Andrews was a dirty niggler as well....dont think he got suspended ever....these been a few who got away with murder......Some of the things Grinter got rubbed out for i see it week in week out that go un noticed....he became a victim a target because Wallace ended up with a severe injury......Anyway karma has a way of balancing things out...thank you Swans and Paul Roos....Wallace never coached again....wonder why....

In world breaking news this morning.....Man City has seen the errors of its ways....citing fan responsibility....chuckle chuckle ....are making moves to ditch joining the super league.....Chelsea are also reported to be on the verge of kindly getting out of there contract as well.....they also claim fan responsibility.....more chuckle chuckle......the Real Madrid president is talking poo of course, its reported there 1 billion in dept....and we have known for ever that Barcelona are doing it tough too....well my heart bleeds for them when there paying 400,000 a week every week for Lionel....and lets not forget the 300,000 plus Real are paying Bale on loan at Spurs who's been used as a impact sup most of the time is it any wonder these clubs are broke....Ho and these clubs are targeting the new wonder kid who been kicking up a storm at Dort what ever in Germany the Norwegian......has told his manager hes ready to take a step up and reportedly asking for 1 Million a week and thats $ and most likely US and he is only 20....like really.....

 

And in more big news we had the Apple event over night......you can now rush down to the Apple store and order your iMac in any one of 7 colours.....slight redesign but nothing radical, i still prefer silver, the 21 inch screen is gone and replaced with a 24, im assuming they still have a 27inch model....the new all Apple chip makes them rocket ships and you get a touch sensor on the keyboard now....thats not much chop for tradesmen you know i prefer face recognition....Ipad pro has been upgraded because my iPad air was better value with the new chip of course and one that i may consider after checking it out more closely is a new Apple TV.....i haven't ranted to much about it but Apple must have been getting poor feed back cause one night an Apple survey popped up on one of my devices asking me what i thought of my apple tv and remote....hehehe....well you can be sure i gave them both barrels, that remote is the frigginest worst thing ive ever seen and used so much so i stream from my pc now.....the times id go to the 65inch telly to watch the Dees play i couldnt get into Kayo due mainly to the remote....its absolutely disgusting and i told them so.....like theres nothing on the remote to tell you where or what your doing....anyway the new remote looks like it could be better lets wait and see.....

Thursday's frollies.......

 

Ho dear how could they get it so wrong....and i dont buy into it it was a fan revolution.....Love politics in football and my bet is Boris the hair mop had something to do with the 6 English clubs pulling out mucho pronto....and really theres billionaires who have the best law firms and spin merchants at there disposal ....zilch.....nothing about the start up and shoot down of the ESL add up to me....never mind....

 

John Elliot piece in the local papers this week on the back of the ESL reminding us how close we came to a break away league here in the perpetual summer less sate of Victoria....yes its freezing again......april and were getting days of 15 and 17 degrees.....23 on the Gold Coast today.....Johnny was able to convince a then Alen Allett the ex North man who made North Melbourne Born Again after 40 years in the wilderness of VFL football the chopping block along with the Hawks when we went from 10 to 12 clubs back in the 30s i think....John had a word with Al saying it was a done deal if the VFL didnt come to the party...so with a gun to Al's head the AFL was born....in spirt anyway...took a couple of years to get it up then a lot more years for a name change......

 

Gaints in freezing Canberra friday night against the Dogs.....well men  the resurgent Gaints WILL be put on hold for this week.......some curry WILL be thrown at the Dogs, Gaints WILL be caught wanting, Dogs on a roll should take care of this rabble fairly easily i should think....And i was just getting use to thursday night games....

 

Ho dear.....Cats vs the Eagles in Geelong....not only do the Eagles have a 5 hr plane ride then there got a 1 hr bus ride to an out post of Melbourne....within a few years the out stretch of Melbourne city WILL be touching on the out stretch of Geelong city and be officially swallowed up....into greater Melbourne.....one think about living in the North here is its taken forever for the urban spread...i can zoom around here in the GTI during the week with ease.....Well neither are really traveling well.....Cameron is reportedly in......im thinking and hoping the Free Agency curse is alive and well, this is a dart board game....Im going Eagles just and im not confident and may well change when the teams are out tomorrow...

 

Suns so disappointing WILL be up against a well led Swans, look you just cant put your money on Stewie Dew's men men but there likely to get on a mini roll one of these days and it could start from here as the Swans are hit with injuries.....

 

Radars Blues up against it against the Lions....this is another game that could go either way in my mind...not because i think the Blues are good they been getting a lot of flack this week so you know might react in a positive light then i dont think that much of the Lions partially playing away from home....no confidence in Teague and co......

 

Well match of the round and on saturday night....Demons on the G with the Tigers......lets get this out there now....watched Gawn and Brayshaw youtube show last night there the only Dee anything i WILL watch at the moment as they dont really talk much football and there  entertaining in that foreign langue they talk in.....they had on Nat Jones chatting about his early years and the big 300 coming up on saturday....Angus is on 100 in the same game....what i noticed about these guys was a maturity ive never seen before they were really low key about this game and looking forward in testing them selves against the bench mark of the league.....Having said that Demons have never delivered in my time of following them, there may premiers in april, they should go bust this week...being realistic here.....they will need May in defence and theres talk he could be in though he was looking at a 4 week break 2 weeks ago, Mitch Brown is not the answer as we still dont know how to kick to lead....the forwards have been getting a few contested marks and we excelled on the ground and around the pack scraps...Bayley Frinch WILL need to be in, out last week.....there saying its likely the Weed in and Ben needs another week....they cant play both if there ready to go, Weed its time for him to deliver or his off to the Pies end of season....id say its either Weed or Bennie Brown as it would be suicide to play both against the Tigers....Mitch is out....no room for 4 talls in forward line....the reality is Tigers are best around the ball still, thats the Dees game...Hawks killed us in that area for at least a half last week, Tigers are cleaner in moving that ball around as well.....so im going the Tigers but......Tigers are one of the teams we can and do at times match up with well so you know, like i dont fear them like i fear say the Saints so really its how far have the Dee's come this year.....

 

In the Hahaha game of the round hit the Freo button and by a mile.... one of these days and its going to be a long cold dark winter North might get over the line but that WILL be in the second half of the season when everyone WILL think hey its North next week....

 

Hawks in Tassie over the Crows....im tipping the Hawks here....i liked what i saw last week from them, Crows need there home ground supporters to get over the line....Hawks are about 3 players away from being a decent team i think.....Clarkson can still coach guys......

 

Pies at the G over Bombers....lot of rubbish been thrown at the Pies and im not buying into it, they haven't missed Trelor that much or the other guy Stephenson, yes they lost some depth thats about it, there in need of some key players like the rest of the league, like the Eagles they have an ageing rock star, im pretty sure Buckley Will be back next year, hes doing a good job with what there got, there defence are more than good enough to hold off Essendon.....

 

Port clear winners over the Saints....well i was thinking last night watching footy on nine....the Saints were wrapped up a lot last year when they had a good run....i still think there recruiting was so so in most cases, like they mostly were fringe players who injected some new life into the list, if im right its now showing why most were fringe players to begin with.... yes yes Ratten is a very good coach i like him a lot and im expecting him to get the best out of them too....but not tomorrow....

Well match of the round and on saturday night....Demons on the G with the Tigers......lets get this out there now....watched Gawn and Brayshaw youtube show last night there the only Dee anything i WILL watch at the moment as they dont really talk much football and there  entertaining in that foreign langue they talk in.....they had on Nat Jones chatting about his early years and the big 300 coming up on saturday....Angus is on 100 in the same game....what i noticed about these guys was a maturity ive never seen before they were really low key about this game and looking forward in testing them selves against the bench mark of the league.....Having said that Demons have never delivered in my time of following them, there may premiers in april, they should go bust this week...being realistic here.....they will need May in defence and theres talk he could be in though he was looking at a 4 week break 2 weeks ago, Mitch Brown is not the answer as we still dont know how to kick to lead....the forwards have been getting a few contested marks and we excelled on the ground and around the pack scraps...Bayley Frinch WILL need to be in, out last week.....there saying its likely the Weed in and Ben needs another week....they cant play both if there ready to go, Weed its time for him to deliver or his off to the Pies end of season....id say its either Weed or Bennie Brown as it would be suicide to play both against the Tigers....Mitch is out....no room for 4 talls in forward line....the reality is Tigers are best around the ball still, thats the Dees game...Hawks killed us in that area for at least a half last week, Tigers are cleaner in moving that ball around as well.....so im going the Tigers but......Tigers are one of the teams we can and do at times match up with well so you know, like i dont fear them like i fear say the Saints so really its how far have the Dee's come this year.....

 

In the Hahaha game of the round hit the Freo button and by a mile.... one of these days and its going to be a long cold dark winter North might get over the line but that WILL be in the second half of the season when everyone WILL think hey its North next week....

 

Hawks in Tassie over the Crows....im tipping the Hawks here....i liked what i saw last week from them, Crows need there home ground supporters to get over the line....Hawks are about 3 players away from being a decent team i think.....Clarkson can still coach guys......

 

Pies at the G over Bombers....lot of rubbish been thrown at the Pies and im not buying into it, they haven't missed Trelor that much or the other guy Stephenson, yes they lost some depth thats about it, there in need of some key players like the rest of the league, like the Eagles they have an ageing rock star, im pretty sure Buckley Will be back next year, hes doing a good job with what there got, there defence are more than good enough to hold off Essendon.....

 

Port clear winners over the Saints....well i was thinking last night watching footy on nine....the Saints were wrapped up a lot last year when they had a good run....i still think there recruiting was so so in most cases, like they mostly were fringe players who injected some new life into the list, if im right its now showing why most were fringe players to begin with.... yes yes Ratten is a very good coach i like him a lot and im expecting him to get the best out of them too....but not tomorrow....

Geelong losing Dangerfield has helped but it's still hard to win down there.

Having said that, Geelong are just going.

 

I'm with ya about Carlton and Brissy.

Carlong have been smashed in the media so they might come out snarling.

And I don't trust Brisbane away from home yet either.

Ive always wondered why WC doesn't buy a plane, or better still, get one of the rich mining company firms

to get one.

 

You could take out a pile of seats and make it roomier and even put some massage/treatment tables in it.

If there's any seats, left, flog them off to the public.

 

Could let the Dockers, Glory, Wildcats use it as well.

Take out all the seats you want, but Adam Simpson would still be down the back squashed in coach class.

 

I really should go to Specsavers.   I misread that as 'massage/treatment ladies'.    A comfy rub n tug before the big game would certainly relax the boys, but performance might suffer..........hardly a concern.????????
