I need advice, I'm posting in the Linux sub forum because Linux is all I use in my home. I have been using a raspi connected to a TV so the family can watch CH7 at around 5PM until the movie finishes. I set it up so the TV powers on the raspi glued to the back (USB to microUSB) It receives power and starts. It starts omxplayer automatically at boot and if it fails it when streaming it restarts itself with a handy script. Been working great for a couple of years. Lately CH7 has changed something about the way they stream and omxplayer on a this old raspi is not working. I have tried increasing the buffer and every trick in the book.  So what is the cheapest and most reliable way to get CH7 with just turning the TV on? CH7 streams fine to my browser on my PC. I suspect omxplayer is no longer capable since it has not been updated in a long time. I may build it for my PC and try, but if it does not work I need something reliable, simple and cheap just for CH7. All I can think of is some kind of IPTV device or a Odroid with VLC in a desktop environment, (VLC works for receiving CH7 on my PC). The obvious choice of setting up a digital antenna is a no go. Signal is week at my location, plus I decided to remove coax, dishes and antennas from the house. Its been replaced with Cat5.

What stream URL are you using  for CH 7   ?

Omg, Finally found it. Thank you so much. Do you have stream URL for CH3, CH8, GMM25, One31? All of them has film (leila, aladin, love) which my friend likes much.

I have been trying to get the stream for CH3 for a while and google led me back here. ha

Works in omxplayer, grandma is happy.
