Car washes boom after Songkran

PATTAYA:--Car washes are cashing in now that Songkran is finished, with owners of motorbikes and cars eager to get all the powder off their vehicles.

 

Kanda Jueluang, owner of Poseidon Car Care in Soi Photisan, said her shop has been busy since 7 a.m., which is common every year after Pattaya’s April 19 “wan lai” day.

 

Additional staffers were brought on for the big cleaning day. The surge is expected to last about five days, she said.

 

Kanda said people are concerned the powder and clay will eat into their paint jobs.

It also obscures vision.  Why do duckheads (misprint) smear cars when they can't get at the driver? It should be a crime.

If someone throws garbage on your car before or after songkran has ended, would that be a crime?

I don't use my car at all in songkran after that crappy  powder  ruined my paint  years  ago, they should ban its use its  criminal damage under the guise of songkran.

Yes. But for the 7 days of songkran they wouldnt have got a single customer. No one gets their car washed when they know it will be sprayed with water and powder 2 minutes later

should be but ALL laws are relaxed for Songkram.....!!!
