Ive been informed of a shooting that took place in the ark bar on chaweng beach.Apparently it was the brother of a thai dude that worked in the africa bar soi green mango that fired the shots,...close range shot to the head,instant death....It seems that thais value death very little,this is massacre,when will they realise that this is not the way to end an argument or similar problem?

I do hope the police will make a full example of the murderer,as this must not be tolerated in samui or anywhere..how long before the next murder? what are your thoughts?

I think you meant "value life very little", instead of "value death very little". Seriously, only when carrying an unlicensed arm would gives you a 10 year sentence. And actually discharging a firearm would gets you 20 years, regardless whether you kill anyone, then perhaps this nonsense would stop. Right now, you can even be out on bail if arrested. This is what I gathered from reading the papers. I stand corrected on this.

These kinds of murders have been happening in Thailand since before tourism. What makes you think a few tourists will change anything?

I just want to confirm that the guy that was shot in the head in the vicintiy of the Ark Bar, 3 weeks ago, didnt actually die on impact. He is in a coma in a hospital in Surat Thani.

I got this info, first hand from his fiance, whom I am in regular contact with.

Forgive me for giving false info, if in fact, there were two shootings at ark bar that week!!!
