Popular Post rooster59
Supreme Court president urges Thai people to accept rules Supreme Court President Cheep Chulamont wonders how Thai people can find peace if they do not accept the rules and resort to unrest. For Thai society, he said that the problems that are now confronting the country stem from the Thai people themselves who do not accept one another and do not accept the Constitution, the supreme law of the land, which has set the roles and responsibilities of all organizations, be they part of the executive, legislative or judicial branch. When one of those organizations issues a ruling, some Thai people do not accept it said Mr. Cheep. Popular Post madmitch
A very few people in power have the opportunity to change the rules to suit themselves, hence the number of new constitutions Thailand has seen in the past 80 years. And the incumbent has the power to change rules at a whim with Article 44. Sound like Mr Cheep (lovely name BTW) is anticipating unrest. 6

Popular Post Raymonddiaz
Some Thai people and most of foreign countries don't believe in Thai justice system. That's why Thaksin an Co can travel all around the world without being arrested and extradited. Justice that is done by coup makers will never be just.

Rules? What rules? They can't even properly figure out who won their long awaited election, without the government resorting to politically motivated prosecutions to discredit/disqualify their opponents.

Translated: Laws are for little people. Little people must be submissive. "Accept your yoke or face prison." Unspoken: Elites are above the law. If caught violating laws, elites will protect their own, or will allow those who used to be members of The Club to flee the country and live in exile. 7

Thais really like to 'gussy up' with military uniforms, medals, ribbons, and epaulets. It bolsters the separation between The Haves of high status, and The Have Nots (little people) of low status. Thais just love their status. The more the better. Status makes up for other short-comings, such as compassion. 6
Popular Post PREM-R
Cheep reaches out and pats 99% of the population on their collective heads, “ Now, now, you must be ‘Khun Dee’, it is what you have been conditioned to from birth. If you don’t follow the rules how can we have rule and order in the country. Now heed my words and all will be well, the ‘good people’ have your interests at heart, leave your betters to get on with it……. You just worry about feeding yourselves.”

Oziex1
Sadly the intellectuals that have the above average thought processes to challenge these ludicrous statements are either, safely in self exile or unable to speak up due to the biased defamation laws.

Popular Post boonrawdcnx
Ha ha ha of course the Thai people don’t accept that there is one set of rules for the rich and powerful and another set of rules for the poor and regular Somchai! Sometimes I wonder in what phantasy world these people live? Why did the Supreme Court not throw out the amnesty the lawbreakers who staged coups in the past gave themselves and had them arrested ? Pathetic to appeal to the Thai people to abide by the “rules” while the rich and powerful make a mockery of them! The Thai judiciary has hardly any credibility left no matter how they try to spin it! A judiciary that can be bought and bent at will is the downfall of a country ! Spineless cowards facilitating corrupt gangsters of whatever political color that is in power at any time.
