Using Work Permit for address confirmation for Drivers License

Featured Replies

Saw some posters on another thread say they used WP to confirm address rather than letter from embassy in Bkk.  Cant seem to see any address in new WP's.  Anyone have any clarification on this? Thank you

The workpermits issued to me a while ago had the address printed somewhere

around the last page.

I don't know in which year they changed, or it was only a change for me,

as I extended the old workpermit every year.

I changed location of job last year, so I got a new workpermit.

And no address in it.

The old workpermit I had was WP11 and now WP3

The difference I understood is that the WP11 is the temporary version and

WP3 (and 1) is for the most of us  here.

Perhaps a reason that I have a 'permanent registration' (not PR as in resident)

that they gave me the WP3.

Back then the bank used the WP and address in it for opening account, now they

checked my address from the pink card. (as I moved)

Now for me, only one copy of the workpermit is needed, which was 3 before

(front, inside stamps and the address)

Rgds,

new work permits do not have the address. I used a letter from my embassy to state my address.
