Rather a safe remark to make given historically the drug trade has been run by the police and military.

Not to mention our Chinese friends sending the product in

Has been tried in far more developed countries during a very long time. To tell you the truth, it can't be done.

In the words of Nancy Reagan "Just Say No">> that was s great success

Give Thaksin immunity for 12 months. He knows how to get the job done.

The only efffect of his "war on drugs"  was a massive price rise of Yaba  and a lot of innocent people getting killed.

Echoes of thaksin and duterte resound.

Thaksin was instructed by someone higher up to clampdown on drugs. If you make the effort you can see the messages from the US embassy in this regard, publised by Weakileaks. NB its blocked inside Thailand and you need a VPN to get around the block.

let the Rolex general  cash out some of his watches to pay for it.

it is a total waste of time and money.

look at the U.S. who has spent billions and billions trying to stop drugs and enforcement agents murdered!

legalize pot just like many states are doing in the U.S. against federal law and are making millions off of the tax.

that will cut down a lot of problems!

Sure, that really worked, a couple thousand small time dealers and users assassinated, no major supliers touched and a market that continued to grow.  Tell us, just what is it you liked about Thaksins killings?  The blood?

It is made by militias in Myanmar, the precursors are made in China, but they also have legitimate use in pharmaceutical manufacture, so you cant blame China for selling something legal that Myanmar then allows to get out of their control and into the hands of the rebels.
