I've been trying to get onto Youtube for the past 24 hours without success. Is anyone else having problems or is it only me?

I hope my landlord hasn't blocked the site due me using loads of bandwidth to view it... :o

Still not up for me, however if I proxy it works.

Note without proxy I get a direct to IP address 85.10.125.176 which then 'takes too long to respond'

Regards

PS 300 looks wonderful...

I get exactly the same error. Thank goodness it's not just me.

I can't access it at all, friends all over the world and some in Thailand say it is OK, but for me it times out.

How do you do the proxy thing everyone is talking about?

Picture of the King and his wife. Very nice, but not want I want to see at this particular moment. Is censorship clamping down?

I can't get it on IPStopnStart

Worked fine here with TTT - Maxnet in Phuket until like 1 hour ago. Now I get redirected to http://www.mict.go.th/ instead.

What!?!?!

Hope they haven't decided that instead of providing bandwidth for their customers its cheaper to just restrict their viewing. :o

"Thailand - The Internet Hub of SE Asia"

Just got back from the Philippines and the speed over there was amazing compared to my 1 Mb ADSL here in Phuket.

And yes it works without the www, which means that if they censor youtube now for some reason they are so dumb they can't even censor properly.

Someone posted an interview with Taksin on YouTube? :D

I don't know what is happening for some of you but l still don't have any problems, Opera, Firefox, IE, all work using True in Bangkok, plus my connection is absolutely fantastic tonight. Must be all the bandwidth saved by you guys not being able to watch YouTube. :o

See if you can get in via http://208.65.153.251:80/

If you can then the problem is probably with your DNS settings.

Not with my DNS as then I would never end up at http://www.mict.go.th, it is deliberate by the thai ISP or government. They are only so inept so they only changed their DNS instead of blocking the IP-routing which would really stop us. (Hope I didn't gave them ideas now :o )

Aha, when l use a True transparent proxy l see the message you're talking about. Try connecting without using a proxy and see how you go as that's still working for me. Using a True proxy l always find that Asia Rooms is blocked, for who knows what reason.

I just took a look around the YouTube site using a few search terms that might be considered controversial in Thailand but couldn't come up with anything that could be considered offensive but there are so many videos who knows what might upset someone. :o

Youtube.com is working fine on CAT G.SHDSL in Bangkok. It is also working on JANet in the UK.

<deleted> Mostly looks pretty innocuous, lots of Muay Thai and Thai Pop.

Something has evidently upset the powers that be, perhaps it's the one of the Thai cops counting their tea money, more likely, "How to make Pad Thai".
