Youtube Down?

Featured Replies

I've been trying to get onto Youtube for the past 24 hours without success. Is anyone else having problems or is it only me?

I hope my landlord hasn't blocked the site due me using loads of bandwidth to view it... :o

Working for me (from Manila, Philippines)

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Works for me, just watched the trailer for '300' using True in Bangkok, open DNS.

Still not up for me, however if I proxy it works.

Note without proxy I get a direct to IP address 85.10.125.176 which then 'takes too long to respond'

Regards

PS 300 looks wonderful...

I get exactly the same error. Thank goodness it's not just me.

OK, gonna have to try the proxy thing.

Bangkok. True internet. Youtube not working all day.

I can't access it at all, friends all over the world and some in Thailand say it is OK, but for me it times out.

How do you do the proxy thing everyone is talking about?

Hmmm, still working fine here, not using a proxy. Maybe because l'm using Opera?

Not working with TOT in Chiang Mai, also a couple of other, more adult-oriented, sites are unaccesable.

It's not the return of the green screen is it?

All's well in Gods County, You Tube is fine too....! :o:D

I can't get it on IPStopnStart

YouTube down

PornoTube up

Go figure.

Picture of the King and his wife. Very nice, but not want I want to see at this particular moment. Is censorship clamping down?

I'm using TRUE hi-speed internet , "www.youtube.com" has not been working for 2-3 days

anyway, use this URL instead http://youtube.com/ (without www.)

It works

:o

Worked fine here with TTT - Maxnet in Phuket until like 1 hour ago. Now I get redirected to http://www.mict.go.th/ instead.

What!?!?!

Hope they haven't decided that instead of providing bandwidth for their customers its cheaper to just restrict their viewing. :o

"Thailand - The Internet Hub of SE Asia"

Just got back from the Philippines and the speed over there was amazing compared to my 1 Mb ADSL here in Phuket.

And yes it works without the www, which means that if they censor youtube now for some reason they are so dumb they can't even censor properly.

Someone posted an interview with Taksin on YouTube? :D

same problem here get MICT site all the time.

True internet BKK

I don't know what is happening for some of you but l still don't have any problems, Opera, Firefox, IE, all work using True in Bangkok, plus my connection is absolutely fantastic tonight. Must be all the bandwidth saved by you guys not being able to watch YouTube. :o

See if you can get in via http://208.65.153.251:80/

If you can then the problem is probably with your DNS settings.

Not with my DNS as then I would never end up at http://www.mict.go.th, it is deliberate by the thai ISP or government. They are only so inept so they only changed their DNS instead of blocking the IP-routing which would really stop us. (Hope I didn't gave them ideas now :o )

Aha, when l use a True transparent proxy l see the message you're talking about. Try connecting without using a proxy and see how you go as that's still working for me. Using a True proxy l always find that Asia Rooms is blocked, for who knows what reason.

I just took a look around the YouTube site using a few search terms that might be considered controversial in Thailand but couldn't come up with anything that could be considered offensive but there are so many videos who knows what might upset someone. :o

Youtube.com is working fine on CAT G.SHDSL in Bangkok. It is also working on JANet in the UK.

I am using TRUE hi-speed internet as well. Great tip. :D

<deleted> Mostly looks pretty innocuous, lots of Muay Thai and Thai Pop.

Something has evidently upset the powers that be, perhaps it's the one of the Thai cops counting their tea money, more likely, "How to make Pad Thai".

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Youtube blocked here as well, I am on TOT.

working normally on TT&T maxnet!
