It was a sarcastic comment. No need to spend how much time to post all those.

Even I understand that between making attacks on Trump congress does pass some legislation.

How exactly was this "obstructionism" stopping him from doing his job? How exactly does it keep him from addressing the question of infrastructure? Is Trump the can't-walk-and-chew-gum-at-the-same-time-President?

Did you not read what I wrote? He's playing his own game now. It's all tactics.

Actually, it will be a much smaller boon, if a boon at all, than it would have been otherwise.

China cancels U.S. pork import order as U.S.-China trade war drags on

The same week U.S. President Donald Trump announced sweeping increases on tariffs against Chinese goods, Chinese buyers dropped orders for 3,247 metric tonnes of U.S. pork - the biggest cancellation in more than a year, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture data released on Thursday.

The cancellation came during the week ended May 9, a blow to the $6.5 billion export market for American pork, vital to the burgeoning U.S. meat industry.

Prior to the trade war, China and Hong Kong combined were the second largest export market for U.S. pork.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trade-china-pork/china-cancels-u-s-pork-import-order-as-u-s-china-trade-war-drags-on-idUSKCN1SM2D9

Presumably, some other pork producing nations will pick up much, if not all, of the slack. Or the Chinese may elect to do with much less consumption of pork.

Alternatively, other nations will send all their pork to China ( higher prices? ) and America will send it's pork to the nations that can't get pork from their usual supplier.

Can't see the Chinese doing with less pork.

You forget that in 2016 it wasn't clear what sort of President Trump would be and what sort of programs he would pursue. Now he's made it very clear. And despite the strong showing of the economy, he has managed to be very unpopular. I think that next election the electoral majority will show it has had enough.

Perhaps unpopular with the people he was always unpopular with. His base seem pretty happy.

As you say, the election will tell the truth.

You think it's a game that's going to make him look good? Attempting to use extortion for his own personal interests and to the detriment of infrastructure work? Actually, he's doing the Democrats a huge favor since this would have been one area which he could have claimed as an accomplishment that would benefit all Americans.

No worries literally took seconds to copy and paste.

Probably less time than you spent on your post?

Very easy for citizens, who want to be informed, to find this information on the interwebs.

Trump's degree is in Economics! Basic workings of tariffs are often learned in high school. He is again lying to the American people.... Because he simply cannot be that stupid or ignorant. God save America from this scum of a leader.

Either Trump is incapable of adding 2 + 2 and getting 4 or he is just plain lying again and trying to fool the public about where the tariff cost is born. Any person with any business experience whatsoever would know that tariffs are an import charge levied at the border upon arrival. I assume that every member here knows this, Trump must know it, thus, he is just a liar (or plain stupid).

As others have pointed out, tariffs increase the cost of imported goods. The Government of the importer collects the tariff, goods cost the importer more (landed cost), the higher price is passed along to the end-user. Yes, it substantially increases the government coffers (and takes from its citizens).

Gawd, how did that lying, stupid buffoon ever get elected?

They might have recognized that he was a fake, a fraud, huckster, liar, illiterate full of crap business failure but did not recognize to the full extent that rolled out later.

Sad but true.

It has nothing to do with stupidity or ignorance,  he is a psychopath that can only say what he thinks will benefit him at that time.  Nothing he says has anything to do with the truth only that he thinks that it will make him look good at that moment.

Actually neeray said it, not jerojero.

The answer is simple- the Dems put up Hillary as their candidate, someone so unappealing that Trump won because not enough people voted for her outside the Democrat heartlands. Had Bernie been the candidate as he should have been if not for Dem dirty tricks, he'd probably be president now.

There was a choice between two bad candidates and people voted for the least awful of the two.

Do you have a psychiatric qualification to be able to diagnose a mental illness? If not, it's just your opinion.

LOL. I don't think God is listening, as it's looking pretty good for a Trump win next year.

Do a search, quite a few psychiatrists and psychologists have come out and stated he is a psychopath.

No, plenty of time for this clown's "misdemeanours" to be uncovered (tax fraud, bank fraud) amongst other things, and they will be found, mainly because he believes he is smart (yeah....right!) enough to get away with it, but in reality he is just another lying, dumb huckster.

Real psychiatrists know that one can't diagnose a mental disorder without doing an examination of the person in question.

Without an actual examination, IMO it's just opinions.

Trump's base didn't vote for him because they saw him as the lesser of two evils, they voted for him because they believe the lies and BS he spews out.  They still do, just watch the media coverage of his rallies.

The number of people at Trump rallies probably wouldn't win the vote for dog catcher in the great scheme of things.

He won the votes of millions that didn't want her to win, IMO.

BTW, the people that attended Trump rallies probably went because of the excitement that was evident at them. They would probably have supported a slug if it promised to attack the establishment the way Trump vowed. They had had enough of the corruption in Washington, and HRC was a shining example of Washington corruption- "lock her up" they cried.

There's  checklist that some psychiatrists use to evaluate  their patients over periodic sessions and interviews.  Take the test as if you were Trump and see what the results are.  It's called the Hare Psychopathy Test. In August 2016, Dr. Kevin Dutton of Oxford University ranked US president-elect Donald Trump as "above Adolf Hitler" on a standard scale used to measure potential psychopathy in adults, according to the science news site Phys.org.  Here's a link to the test: https://www.businessinsider.com/hare-psychopath-checklist-test-sociopath-2016-11.

You be the judge, but be honest.  if your evaluation of him doesn't indicate that he is a psychopath then maybe you should test yourself!

I see. In the brave new world we live in, one can diagnose other people based on a check list. I wonder where Chuck or Nancy rate on that list?

Goodness me, I know several people that could be sociopaths, if one had a handy test to check them against. Lucky for them such evaluations are meaningless.

I hope you realise that if Trump is just playing a character, the Hare test is useless. That's why testing has to be done in person.

IMO the whole "Trump is mental" is just a political ploy by the resistance, and I believe it is as big a sham as the Mueller investigation re Russian collusion by Trump.
