Win10 locked screen, show video?

Featured Replies

Would like to have a video play on locked screen, someone suggested Kiosk Mode but I could not find it and was told it was only for phones.

Any ideas

Thanks

You were told wrongly, I just followed the instructions I gave to you. It took seconds.

I suspect your problem is that you are using Windows 10 Home.

Interesting, I asked Microsoft online and they said it was not available.

So you were able to set this up on your WIn10 PC?

Thanks

No. I haven't. They give a 30 day free trial, so you can try it if you want. But perhaps Kiosk Mode will do what you need.

I am chatting to Microsoft now.

They recommend not using Kiosk

>you have to configure your device to Kiosk mode. This is only recommend for a domain user account.  If you're only using personal account or personal computer this configuration is not advisable to your device.

Hmmm... and quite why do they suggest that it is not? Sounds like a load of rubbish from them.

Which type of user account will be the kiosk account? The kiosk account can be a local standard user account, a local administrator account, a domain account, or an Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) account, depending on the method that you use to configure the kiosk. If you want people to sign in and authenticate on the device, you should use a multi-app kiosk configuration. The single-app kiosk configuration doesn't require people to sign in to the device, although they can sign in to the kiosk app if you select an app that has a sign-in method.

No. No need. But as you can see, many have and do.
