March 11, 200719 yr From the Bangkok Post: An old bomb, believed to have been dropped from a plane during World War II, was found on the bank of Lang Suan river in Lang Suan district yesterday. The 200-pound bomb, about 70 cm in diameter and 120 cm long, was covered in mud.It was discovered near a railway bridge by Niphon Maneenual, 35, who was digging at the site with a backhoe. My husband has quite a few relatives living in Lang Suan, wonder if they heard about this? Lucky for the backhoe guy it didn't go off According to the disposal unit, the bomb appeared to be in working condition, capable of a blast of a radius of up to one kilometre.
