Anyone know when and where this festival will occur? It once was at Hoi Tung Tao but was relocated due to aircraft flight corridors.

For the last few years the rocket festival has been held at Huay Lan usually end of May or start of June . The first day is rockets for accuracy and the next day is the big rockets . I keep missing the big rockets , forgetful or busy . There is very good directions on the Thaivisa google map of Chiang Mai and a pinpoint on the map .Pan out on the map so that you hit 25 km east of CM 

All is not lost, I am heading East next week for Thailands annual biggest and best at Phanom Phrai. 16-18th June.
