Democrat MP for Thailand’s southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thepthai Senpong, advised the Palang Pracharat party on Sunday to honor the promise it made to the Democrat party over two key ministries.

He said that the party would review its decision to join the Palang Pracharat-led coalition if the party is asked to relinquish the commerce and agriculture portfolios, which they were earlier promised.

“If the Palang Pracharat party thinks that it does not have to care about its coalition partners, after it has got its prime minister, I would say that it won’t be easy and, if we believe that you had no intention to keep your promise from the beginning, there is no guarantee that there won’t be more broken promises,” said Thepthai.

Especially if, as the original article states, the 10 lesser known parties decide at their meeting to pull out of the alliance with PPRP. They're all learning that the devil wears green

Those parties are probably controlled by the NCPO. That's why they were all given a seat.

I find it more difficult not to repeat myself each time something like this happens. Many here have been saying the similar things during the junta rule and now after the (pseudo) election...nothing has really changed.

What's with the 'or else' part? If the the dems don't get what they were 'promised' there'll be mass protests on the streets (though completely different, I know, the recent Hong Kong million plus protest about new rules, comes to mind). Not going to happen. Or perhaps the dems will oppose everything the 'government' initiates? That won't matter one hoot since the generals are still there at the hub and they'll do just what they want.

This could all turn very nasty very quickly.

And deservedly so. They screwed their voters and now they are being treated likewise.

Justice I assume.

Or else what?

Heck I would call their bluff.

Give them ministries where they have to actually to work and with very limited capacity to profit from ????
